Abstract

The term “uveitis” refers to a group of conditions in which inflammation affects various components of the uvea, i.e., the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. Uveitis encompasses a myriad of conditions, all of which are characterized by inflammation of the uveal tract either directly or indirectly.
