Abstract

The evolutionary trends of wearable and wireless systems for the treatment of progressive neurodegenerative movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and Essential tremor, have been elucidated. Wearable and wireless systems further synergize with advanced technologies, such as deep brain stimulation. These capabilities establish the basis for Network Centric Therapy for progressive neurodegenerative movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and Essential tremor.
