Conclusion: Somebodies as Multibiographical Sound
This chapter uses Gotye’s “Somebodies” as an illustrated vignette of multibiographical sound. This is significant because while the connection between the more-than-human may exist in a fairly clear link to this book’s goals, corporeality and personhood may not be as obvious. However, this chapter shows that this possible obscurity is negated by remembering that questions of ownership, such as those focused on throughout this project, are based very much on an understanding of a possessive individual—usually a subject, a person—owning an object and concludes that what constitutes personhood or a corporeal entity is at the very heart of this.
