Abstract

Cough and expectoration are the most common clinical symptoms. Based on the illness course, cough can be classified into acute cough (<3 weeks), subacute cough (3–8 weeks), and chronic cough (>8 weeks). The etiology of cough is complex and widely involved. And the diseases that induce chronic cough include nasal cavity and sinus abnormalities, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux disease, non-asthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis, and allergic cough. And along with the development of medical technologies, the clinicians have known that pulmonary aspergillosis with presenting symptoms of cough and expectoration is not rare.
