Abstract

The blood supply of the posterior thigh perforator flap was mainly based on the posterior thigh perforator of the inferior gluteal artery and the direct cutaneous artery of the popliteal space, which could be designed as the posterior femoral-inferior gluteal perforator flap and posterior femoral popliteal perforator flap. The posterior femoral-inferior gluteal perforator flap might be transferred anterogradely to restore skin and soft-tissue defects on the ischial tuberosity and the greater trochanter or to repair pressure sores. The posterior femoral popliteal perforator flap might be transferred retrogradely to restore the wound on the knee joint and popliteal fossa.
