Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a detailed literature review of the UPS system. The classification of the UPS is explained on the basis of their configuration and circuit topology. Important characteristics of the state of the art work on both transformer-based and transformerless UPS system has been explained. Additionally, various control schemes for the UPS system are analyzed and their characteristics have been compared.
