Abstract

In 1978, concerning forward end-to-end connection between right atrial appendage and pulmonary artery, a new surgical method of the backward connection of right atrium to pulmonary artery was proposed. In 1979, Björk et al. modified the surgery further. The right atrial appendage with a part of right atrial posterior wall was anastomosed to right ventricle opening to form the posterior wall of right atrium right ventricular channel, and the anterior wall of the channel was formed used autologous pericardium.
