Abstract

I am born to two undocumented immigrants. To answer a question many people ask me: Yes, they did cross the border to get here, and that itself is something that I admire about my parents. Today, there is a dominant notion that we should keep people like my parents out, that all they do is take jobs and money, but many also believe that their children should not be considered citizens.
