Abstract
I went to a private Chinese high school in Malaysia where I had a very different schooling experience from the majority of Chinese Malaysians, let alone those who are of non-Chinese descent. My parents didn’t have any elitist intentions when they decided to send me to a private Chinese high school far away from my hometown.
