Bullying

Schoolhouse and Workforce Considerations for Students and Teachers

  • Chapter
Students, Teachers, and Leaders Addressing Bullying in Schools

Abstract

Over the past several years, considerable attention has been devoted to bullying behavior in schools. Much of this research and reporting has focused on students as victims and perpetrators of schoolyard bullying. Nansel et al. (2013), Limber, Olweus, and Luxenberg (2013), and others have found that significant numbers of students (often as high as forty percent) have experienced bullying as a victim or perpetrator/bully.
