Teacher Involvement in Policy Making in Chinese Schools

Abstract

This chapter focuses on teacher involvement in China. In particular, it addresses how teachers and their principals view the potential responsibility-taking of teachers in Chinese high schools. To lay groundwork for the presentation, several characteristics of education in China are identified and discussed. The data collection is described and the findings from the analysis of the data, along with several explanations are presented.
