Abstract

Mass spectrometry is a powerful approach for generating precise, accurate and sensitive quantitative information on the components of a complex sample. This chapter addresses the importance of quantification and the key considerations in the process of developing and performing a quantitative analysis. Rather than providing specific details, the focus here is on introducing the most important considerations associated with developing a quantitative analysis.
