The transaction value of the imported goods

Abstract
The customs value according to the first method is the transaction value. That is to say, the price actually paid or payable for the goods when sold for export to the country of importation (article 1), which is raised or lowered according to a number of provisions found in article 8, and subject to the proviso that a number of conditions (set out in article 1) are met.
