Abstract

A thoroughgoing criticism of contemporary Soviet theory of knowledge will have to await competent expositions of dialectical-materialism’s ontological and logical doctrines 1, since it is subservient thereto. Our comments are limited to outlining the positive (36) and negative (37) elements in this doctrine, and to indicating the nonsense it contains (38). Finally, we shall point out the directions in which we think it could profitably be further developed (39).
