Abstract

The precipitation of metal cations from aqueous solutions can be preformed via pH modifications. As for metal alkoxides hydrolysis and condensation reactions are involved in the formation of solid materials and the structure or chemical reactivity of inorganic precursors can be tailored via complexation. Complexing anions change the morphology, structure and even chemical composition of condensed phases. These reactions are described in the frame of the so-called Partial Charge Model.
