Acid Rain: Implications For The Farming of Salmonids
Chapter
Abstract
Convincing evidence of the decrease in pH of freshwaters during recent decades exists throughout northern Europe and North America. By definition pH describes the equiUbrium between hydrogen cations (positively charged) and hydroxyl anions (negatively charged).
