Effect of Host Genotype and Non-Host Plants on Epiphytic Life of Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi
Chapter
Abstract
Population dynamics of Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi was monitored after spray inoculation on apparently healthy plants in various compatibility situations. It was shown that pathogen populations behaved on pea resistant cuitivars as on non-host plants, no multiplication nor drastic drop. It was concluded that host specificity has an effect on the epiphytic phase of P. s. pv. pisi.
