On-line Biomass Monitoring of Immobilized Hybridoma Cells by Dielectrical Measurements

Abstract

To prove the aptitude of dielectric spectroscopy for on-line biomass monitoring and an automated process control, this non-invasive method has been successfully used in the cultivation of hybridoma cells, immobilized on microcarriers, in a fluidized-bed bioreactor.
