Abstract

A number of sensors and actuators is presented, all with one specific property in common: they all function with electric current as input signal. The transducers are categorized by the amount of net charge, injected in the aqueous solution, in which the proposed sensors and actuators function. It is shown that thus a surprisingly large number of very different transducers can be realized, that have been or can be favourably applied in a μTAS.
