Memories of a Monument: The Competition for a Monument to the Unknown Political Prisoner, London 1953 — a Discussion of the Powers of Sculpture that Never Existed
This paper tries to shed a new light on the largest and most important single sculptural event in this century. Hitherto unpublished material makes it possible to draw a picture of this history without relying solely on rumours and conjectures, thus making it possible to concentrate on the question of artistic value.
