Abstract
The properties of a filled polymer depend on the properties of the polymer, the properties of the filler and the interaction between the two components [1,2] Many of the polymeric coating materials are filled with inorganic pigments. Special types of coating systems, for example magnetic recording materials, are highly filled polymers [3] The addition of any mineral filler increases the modulus and the temperature deflection of the polymer, but also the brittleness.
