A Critical Discussion of Supercomputer Architectures for Engineering Applications
Chapter
Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to explain the large gap between theoretical peak performance and real performance for present supercomputers. From this knowledge result valuable hints for the design of supercomputer architectures and of supercomputer algorithms.
