Pseudopotential Symmetries for Integrable Evolution Equations
Chapter
Abstract
The concept of non-local symmetries can be generalized by including pseudopotentials. The KdV-equation has in addition to the two well known hierarchies of Lie-Bäcklund symmetries three hierarchies of pseudopotential symmetries. One of these symmetries generates the solitary wave solution through the transformation of the trivial solution.
