Abstract

The reclamation and reuse of industrial wasteland is closely connected with the necessity of making derelict sites safe and removing the old pollution. Particularly in the traditional industrial regions of Europe, various different strategies have been developed to deal with the problem of land polluted by previous use. These sources of knowledge can be used best to the benefit of all concerned by an international exchange of experiences.
