The Limit or Outermost Boundary of the Stars
Chapter
Abstract
Since almost all agree that the stars are finite in extent, one may ask what bounds them? Regarding this question and its answer, so many and such diverse statements are found that in no way can they, in fact, be reconciled. Some are of the opinion that they are limited by the outermost heaven, namely, the First (so-called Mobile); others by waters above the heavens; others by the Empyrean Heaven; others by Nothingness; and still others by Vacuity, etc., all of which we examined in Book I, Chapters 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35.
