Neurokinins

Abstract
Members of the tachykinin family of neuropeptides, which are derived from two distinct genes. One codes for substance P, neurokinin A (and the derived products neuropeptides K and neuropeptide gamma). The other codes for neurokinin B, which has a distinctly different distribution in the peripheral nervous system to substance P and neurokinin A.
