The Bernstein Problem in Mathematical Genetics and Bernstein Algebras

Abstract
The Bernstein problem is to explicitly describe all quadratic evolutionary operators V such that V 2 = V. It is equivalent to the description of all stochastic Bernstein algebras. We present our results in this direction.
