Soil Remediation in Flanders (Belgium): Legislation, Standards and Case Studies
Summary
In this country session the approach to dealing with contaminated sites in Flanders (Belgium) is explained. The first part concerns the new legislation and policy; the second part goes further into standardization as it will be applied in Flanders; in the third part the reclamation of former mining land will be discussed as a case study and in the fourth part a ground cleansing plant will be introduced.

In dieser Ländersitzung wird der Ansatz der Altlastensandorte in Flandern (Belgien) erläutert. Im ersten Teil werden die neue Gesetzgebung und die Politik behandelt, im zweiten Teil wird näher auf die Normierung, wie sie in Flandern angewandt werden soll, eingegangen, im dritten Teil wird die Fallstudie die Sanierung der Gelände ehemaliger Steinkohlengruben beleuchtet, und im vierten Teil wird eine Bodenreinigungsanlage vorgestellt.

Au cours de cette session internationale, on commente l’approche de sites pollués en Flandre (Belgique). La première partie examine la nouvelle législation et la politique, la deuxième traite plus en détail de la normalisation qui sera appliquée en Flandre, tandis que la troisième expose une étude de cas, celle de l’assainissement des anciens terrains miniers. La quatrième partie présente une installation d’épuration de terres.
