Phosphorescence of Lipid Peroxidation Products in Solution and Biological Membranes

  • Chapter
Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules

Abstract

Lipid peroxidation of membranes and tissues is a main subject of numerous studies. The number of methods of analysis based on measurements of fluorescent characteristics of lipid peroxidation products are successfully used [1–5]. The method of phosphorescent analysis of lipid peroxidation products in biological membranes, cells and tissues hasn’t been developed before present time.
