Transmission of Hepatitis B to Fetus and Infant

Abstract

There are now numerous reports of the transmission of hepatitis B from mother to child (27, 28, 15, 3, 8) but it is still not clear how often it occurs nor by which route infection is transferred. Nor is the course of hepatitis B in infants well understood.
