Abstract

Electronic phenomena in solids can be correlated to the evolution of different parameter, Dq/B, b, U.

For modifying such parameters, two ways are investigated : (i) the increase of the valence state n+ of the Mn+ transition metal, (ii) the use of high pressures, both leading to a shrinking of the bond. Some examples as spin transition, charge-transfer, insulator→mietal transition and disproportionation phenomenon are described in oxygen lattices.

A discussion between these two -routes is presented on the basis of the variation of the n+ distance.
