Microwave Measurements Over Sea in the Netherlands
Conference paper
Abstract
In collaboration with the NLR (National Aerospace Laboratory) the Physics Laboratory TNO carries out microwave measurements at sea for Rijkswaterstaat (Department of Water Control). The purpose of the measurements is mainly the development of an operational system for oil detection, ships traffic control and estimation of seawave characteristics. Up to now groundbased measurements took place in a wavetank and on a platform near the coast of Noordwijk. Also many X-band SLAR flights are available. Some results will be discussed.
