Abstract
In this last and concluding chapter we will review the investigation as regards its preliminary expectations, the answers in terms of experimental findings and the wider perspective in which the answers should be interpreted. In doing so we will first treat the three experimental chapters (two, three and four) in three separate sections. Section 5.2. deals with the reflections of foot boundaries in the temporal domain, section 5.3. will treat the perceptual difference between rising and falling metre and section 5.4. will focus on the acoustic contribution to metrical contrast. In section 5.5. we will discuss the role played by acoustics as a whole, while in section 5.6. we will look at the possibility of further investigation.
