Historical and Current Guidelines for Medical Trials

Abstract
There have been a number of articles dealing with the medical trial, several of which have been selected for presentation in this chapter, which discusses guidelines for planning and conducting research. The time period represented by these examples, 1958 to 1977, is relatively short; however, that period in history witnessed an enormous outpouring of funds and effort directed to the study and solution of health problems.
