Biological Measurements in Longitudinal Research
Chapter
Abstract
The biological measurements feasible to employ in this field are those that are noninvasive, easy to use, and relatively non-time-consuming in application. The types of measures that have been used fall generally under three heads:
- 1.Electrodermal activity
- a.
Skin conductance
- b.
Skin potential
- a.
- 2.Cardiovascular activity
- a.
Heart rate
- b.
Vasomotor activity
- a.
- 3.Cortical activity
- a.
“Ongoing” EEG
- b.
Event-related potentials
- a.
