The Effect of Time Response of Force Transducers on Their Transfer Properties in Force Comparisons
Chapter
Abstract
If a measuring instrument contains time-dependent portions in its characteristics, these are more or less transmitted to the object the instrument is testing. If several links of the calibration chain display such defects, then it is almost impossible to eliminate such effects by specific corrective measures at the end of the calibration chain. When extreme demands in accuracy are at stake, such deficiencies can no longer be ignored. Cause and effect of such relationships will be shown in the following along with measures to reduce the resulting errors.
