Solar Wall Clock with a Fluorescent Planar Concentrator (FPC)

Abstract
The low light behaviour of solar cells for different light sources is discussed briefly. The advantages of FPCs are explained and a comparison between a directly exposed solar generator and an FPC /PV System for a solar clock is made. Finally the newly developed Staiger FLUKO solar clock based on an FPC is presented.
