Abstract

The behaviour of organic micro-pollutants from dredging spoil depots on adsorbing materials, such as peat and non-polluted river sediments, was investigated to limit contamination of the depot sites. No ‘cocktail-effects’ from mixed pollutants on the adsorption rate were found. Also, the effect of oil on the sorption rate was negligible.
