On Pressure Shifts of FeI Lines in Stellar Atmospheres
Recently, Dravins (1987) presented measured Fe line asymmetries of seven various A-K stars. Ussually, such data are interpreted as evidence of convective motion, and pressure broadening contribution is ussually neglected. Vince et al.(1985) showed that for detailed analysis of limb effect in solar NaI lines one should take into account the pressure shifts.
