Abstract

The method of region analysis is presented, by which one can solve some classes of optimal control problems with state constraints. In particular, problems with one state and one control variable are investigated in which the performance index and the state equation are linear in the control variable. As practical example, a problem of control of a hydroelectric power plant is considered.
