Abstract

The up-to-date treatment of burn patients involves early active prophylaxis and correction of haemodynamic disturbances, microcirculation and electrolyte exchange, improvement of resistance to infection, metabolism and immune status, prevention of endotoxalemia and infection, early reconstruction of lost skin, coverage, prophylaxis and correction of the pathological scars, effective pharmacological control of the patient, and full medical and social rehabilitation.
