Abstract

The system has features of loose coupling, service oriented and distributed. The communication subsystem is based on C/S architecture. It copes with highly concurrent access by using asynchronous socket communication. The monitoring subsystem is based on B/S architecture and SaaS (software as a service). It uses WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) web services to accomplish receiving, transmission and storing of data. This system implements functions of remote meter reading, water selling and making statistics of data. The design based on SaaS reduces the difficulty and risk for water enterprises’ informatization.
