Simple yet efficient NMEA sentence generator for testing GPS reception firmware and hardware.

Abstract

A simple device for generating NMEA sequences for testing embedded GPS reception firmware and hardware is described. Device can work in standalone mode and also in conjunction with control software. Configuration program can be used to generate test strings without tester hardware as well.
