An Alternative Interpretation of the Weinberg-Salam Model

Abstract

A new interpretation of the Higgs field on the basis of a non-orthodox approach to the Weinberg-Salam (WS) model is suggested. It is argued that the masses of vector mesons can be generated without the use of the Higgs potential.
