Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk worden de verschillende premaligne aandoeningen van vulva, cervix en uterus besproken. Methoden voor detectie van de afwijking in een premaligne fase leiden ertoe dat patiënten in een vroeg stadium behandeld kunnen worden en dus een goede kans hebben om te genezen. Tevens kan door vroegdetectie het ontstaan van invasieve carcinomen voorkomen worden. Naast epidemiologische en etiologische aspecten worden ook de verschillende vormen van behandeling besproken.
