Samenvatting

Spasmodische dysfonie (sd) wordt nu algemeen gezien als een centraal neurologisch bepaalde, chronische functiestoornis, eigenlijk een vorm van focale dystonie op laryngeaal niveau, met een coördinatiestoornis in de antagonistische aanspanningspatronen van de adductor-en abductorspieren van de stemplooien bij het stemgeven (‘task-related’).
