Samenvatting
Klinische effecten van verhoogde blootstelling aan lood zijn reeds lang bekend: anemie, perifere (motorische) neuropathie, nierfunctiestoornissen met als bekendste gevolg loodjicht en - bij zeer hoge lood-in-bloedconcentraties - encefalopathie en loodkoliek. Er is, bij chronische blootstelling van volwassenen, een relatief grote correlatie tussen de loodconcentratie in bloed (PbB) en de symptomen (1).
