Feature Analysis and Research on Radar Target Scattering Characteristics of Typical Individual Migratory Bird

Abstract

In this paper, common swan is used as a target of simulation study, by structuring a target electromagnetic CAD model and a grid-computing model in the electromagnetic simulation software—FEKO. According to different postures made by swans during flying and simulation choose wings upward (45° angle with the horizontal plane wings), level the wings (0° angle with the horizontal plane wings), wings down (−45° angle with the horizontal plane wings) are three typical attitude, the numerical analysis methods of electromagnetic field, technicians can do the simulation calculation of common characteristics of typical target migratory birds, as well as building a target RCS database. With main use of multi-level fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA ) and physical optics (PO) as supplementary method, technicians eventually obtain the target RCS features, by the use of parallel computing method.
