Abstract

Poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid (PHB) is a useful biodegradable polymer which can be used as thermoplastics. Alcaligenes eutrophus H16 (ATCC 17699) can highly accumulate PHB inside the cell. The aim of this article is to develop the feeding strategy of not only carbon source but also nitrogen source for the high productivity and highproduction yield, because PHB production cost is not economical at now stage.
