Abstract

Thoracic disc contrast radiography and disc blocks are indispensable for the diagnosis and treatment of thoracic disc herniations. However, they are rarely implemented in clinical practice. Thoracic disc contrast radiography or disc blocks may be performed simultaneously with lumbar disc contrast radiography (or blocks) because thoracic disc herniation is common in the lower thoracic vertebra.
